Rail: Hence nearest rail way from Kudremukh at Mangalore which locate 130 km away.

Road: The best way by road take bus from Bangalore to Kalasa from where another connecting bus to Balegal.

Kudremukh National Park:

Kudremukh national park designated the status of national park in 1987 and 600 km2 area one of the well preserved national park in the Karnataka. Also this park popular for it natural beauty with high peak mountains, flora and fauna.
Therefore weather in this park 18°C and time required to visit this park 3 – 4 hrs.

Lakya Dam:

The dam constructed by Kudremukh Iron Ore Company build across the river Lakya, a tributary of the Bhadra river. The dam also situated in the protected forest area inside the kudremukh national park. The main objective of the dam to collect silt and also other waste materials from the mining industries. The dam also acts as a source for the irrigation of agricultural lands.
